Monday Challenges and Weekend Reflections
Happy Monday, Friends! I hope you had a wonderful, peaceful, and relaxing weekend. It's a new week full of new challenges, self-inflicted challenges for me at least. I have had a long-standing battle with exercise. I know its value and what it can do for the mind and body, but it's just so darn time-consuming. Once the week starts, it's go, go, go, and it seems there's not a minute to lose, and although I have the best of intentions, it's often the first thing that gets pushed aside. Not today, though.
In Episode 17 of Born To Inspire Podcast I spoke with entrepreneur Megan Sweeney about these little challenges we face and how to get over the fear, anxiety, and avoidance issues we face when it comes to achieving our goals. Meg says it's as simple as spending a few minutes a day working on whatever your goal is. It's really as simple as that. There is no need for a big production or life-altering event. So today, I took on my exercise challenge with both guns blazing, for 5 minutes at least. Five minutes may sound laughable, but it's a first step forward and a place to grow. What challenges are you facing in your life? Whether it's finding time to write, pray, or read, sometimes the biggest step forward takes the smallest amount of time.
I hope you had a wonderful weekend full of rest, relaxation, and spending time with the ones you love. Over my weekend, I delighted in the simple things like spending time with my love, eating in restaurants, shopping, and taking random selfies wearing a crown of roses. Have a wonderful week, and don't forget to share some inspiration.
