Monday thoughts on Faith

Happy Monday, everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

I have to say, although my weekend was beautiful and filled with good times and loved ones, it wasn't without its challenges. Over the weekend, my family and I suffered a huge disappointment, and I found myself feeling a little down in the dumps. All of the sudden, the "unshakable" Faith I thought I had was shaken. I started to worry and fret about the things I can't control, a trap that's so easy to fall into. Faith is simple when everything is good, but what about when it is not?

I believe it's human nature to try to control and "fix" situations when they aren't going how we want them to. We get overwhelmed with frustration trying to figure out how to make things happen. It's a road that leads to nowhere.

Over the weekend, I was on that road, and then suddenly I remembered I don't have to be. We don't have to take on these heavy burdens alone, and we certainly don't have to know all of the answers. God will lead us to that perfect place. I wish I had more to say on this beautiful Monday morning, but unfortunately, I'm suffering from a little brain fog after a weekend of worry. Thank God I remembered he's in control.

Faith is like setting out on a road trip to a place you've never been. You may not know exactly what the journey will look like, but you know you will get there.
